Quick follow up from Thursday’s Board of Trustees meeting. The Board was deciding on a change to municipal code that would have made it possible for the board to pass a simple resolution to ignore the town’s master plan when considering new development. Happy to share you answered my urgent call to action and showed up to the meeting and/or emailed the board. Together, we got the board to strike that language before adopting it into town municipal code, so thank you!

I have been fighting for this town’s board of trustees to listen to its citizens for almost a year now, and this is another example of how I will continue to fight for the citizens’ voices if I am elected to the board in the September 9 special election. To do that, look for the ballot in your mail — it’s supposed to arrive some time next week (August 18-25). Recall Trustees Dreher and Ball, then vote for me,  Roger Moseley, or John Marble to replace those trustees.

Also please remember to vote yes on the ballot initiative to put land annexation decisions in the hands of citizens, not the board of trustees. Important: before casting your vote, please closely read the actual ballot to be sure the final ballot language has not changed from the sample one.
