Join the Candidates for a Q&A August 27

Plan to attend a Candidate Q&A session on Wednesday, August 27 from 6 PM – 8 PM at the Palmer Lake Elementary School Gymnasium. All three candidates for Board of Trustee in the September 9 special election will be there.

Why a Candidate Q&A? Renewing Transparency

All three candidates share the same concern: Palmer Lake’s town government needs more transparency.

We’re turning that concern into action by hosting an event open to everyone. Come meet us, ask questions, and take part in a meaningful, issue-focused, and transparent conversation.

Who’s Invited?

Literally everyone. Seriously.

The general public is invited up to the 200-person capacity limit of the school’s gymnasium.

What to Expect

The event will be facilitated by a volunteer. The volunteer facilitator will introduce each of the candidates at the beginning of the Q&A event. Each candidate will speak a few minutes on their respective platforms, then the audience will be invited to ask questions for the remainder of the two hours.

Where to Enter

The main entrance is at 115 Upper Glenway Street. This Google map street view shows you what the entrance looks like.

Where to Park

For people with mobility limitations, there are disabled spots immediately adjacent to the school’s main entrance. If those spots are full, there’s a loading / unloading zone that may be used to drop off and pick up people near the entrance.

There are a few more spots next to the main entrance, but the majority of parking is in the rear of the school.

What About Online Access?

The venue options in Palmer Lake are limited in their ability to host virtual participation for large gatherings. We candidates had a choice to make between choosing a venue outside of Palmer Lake that is better-equipped for virtual participation or staying in town for convenience and more in-person engagement. In the interest of greater convenience and participation for Palmer Lake citizens, we ultimately chose to host the event at the Palmer Lake Elementary School Gymnasmium.

Learn More About the Candidates

Each of the candidates was surveyed by Integrity Matters. Those survey responses are here.

Candidates will also have literature available at the Q&A event.

See You There!

Please come to an evening of transparent, meaningful, and issues-focused discourse. Hope to see you there!
