Reduce, reuse, recycle: 9 uses for 9 political direct mail pieces
I thought I would share something fun and lighthearted as we enter the homestretch of the Palmer Lake September 9 special election!
What can you do with all those pieces of direct mail you’re getting? Since I have received nine* of them, here are nine practical, fun, and creative ways to use them.
- Dustpan
- Critter catcher
- Litter box liner
- Fix a wobbly table leg
- Halloween disguise
- Bookmark
- Hand fan
- Tricks for naughty trick-or-treaters
- Drain stopper
On a slightly more serious note, each one of those mailers represents a substantial amount of money being dropped into the election by “Keep Palmer Lake Independent” and “Protect Palmer Lake”, not to mention the messages in them are confusing and devoid of facts. Do your research into where that money is coming from and give some thought into why so much money would be poured into the election.
* The direct mail folks sent me one more after I started building that video so there are actually 10 pieces! Bonus bookmarks!
